Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics

The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics deal with clinical procedures to save the natural teeth that have diseases or defects. The defects can be due to dental caries (tooth decay), trauma, abrasion or attrition (loss of enamel) and tooth discoloration, as well as pulpal and/or peroapical diseases. Restoration (filling) of the tooth and root canal treatment are two main treatment procedures performed in the Department. Some of the other treatment procedures done in the department are tooth colored composite restorations, complex amalgam restorations, inlays, onlays, full crowns, periapical surgeries, esthetic procedures like bleaching, veneering etc.
