It is the branch which deals with the Public Health hygiene in Dentistry which creates the awareness about the importance of Dental Health to the public by conducting camps, social activities in the propagation of dental health checkups, Periodic survey, maintenance of records and study of demographic changes in the population with respect to epidemic, endemic, and pandemic areas and curbing the obnoxious habits which may cause harmful killer disease like Cancer of mouth by indicating of uses of Fluorides and for areas with high fluoride contents in portable water by suggesting preventable measures for de-fluoridation techniques etc., are part of the public health preventive dentistry.
