Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics
Conservative dentistry is the mother of all branches in dentistry. It deals with prevention of caries and restorative modalities using advanced restorative materials. Endodontics is a discipline of dentistry that deals with the morphology, physiology and pathology of the human dental pulp and periapical tissues, as well as the prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries related to these tissues.
The Department of conservative dentistry and endodontics at the Madha Dental College offers advanced training program which is accredited by the Dental council of India and is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University.
The department has separate Under graduate and Post graduate sections with sufficient infrastructure facilities and equipments of international standards.
Root canal treatments with post endodontic restorations, inlays, onlays, ceramic crowns, bleaching, periapical surgery and management of traumatic injuries as an emergency procedure are dealt with utmost care.
Interdisciplinary activities among the different departments are being conducted on regular basis.
The education program in this department is extensive with well qualified, experienced and eminent faculties to handle both under graduate and post graduate students.
The students are exposed to different kinds of patients to prove their clinical excellence to the society with more care.
